Actuarial Analyst

AIG P&C is the leading global insurance organization and largest underwriter of commercial insurance coverage in North America.

The qualified candidate will become a member of AIG P&C's Commercial Pricing Center. The primary area the candidate is going to work on is the Commercial Product Line Pricing in the US Region. Commercial Lines consists of diverse products totaling over $10 billion in annual premium. Current products include Workers’ Compensation, Automobile Liability, General Liability, Professional Liability, Commercial Property, Financial Lines, and many other products.

The AIG P&C Commercial Pricing Center works closely with underwriting management, finance, underwriting and claims in a wide range of functions, including pricing, predictive modeling, financial forecasting and budgeting. The goal is to develop well-rounded, business-minded actuaries by exposing each member of the department to the full array of products and functions.

As an Actuarial Analyst you will be responsible for the following:

Perform pricing analyses, profitability reviews, economic capital modeling, and other actuarial functions for North American Property & Casualty business.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A strong academic record and Bachelor or Masters degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or any major with quantitative course work

• Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of property/casualty actuarial experience

• Passed four or more CAS exams, working towards FCAS designation

• Mathematical / Statistical Modeling experience a plus

• Microsoft Excel, Visual basic, Microsoft Access skill preferred

• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently, or within a team environment
