Position Description:

Job Goals:

New Business project management responsibility from initial development to production IOQ signoff. Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Strict adherence and a commitment carrying out the Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees.

Education, Skills and Requirements:

4 yr. degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7years engineering experience. Safe and quality work ethic. Position requires good attendance, professional demeanor and effective communication skills across all levels of organization. Must be familiar with and understand SOP's that relate to department activities. Good analytical, problem solving, project management skills and organizational skills. Strong mechanical design skills along with strong material knowledge of various polymers. Proficient in use of computers and spreadsheet software with experience with MRP systems required. Understanding of 3D CAD required. Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in injection molding and/or extrusion of silicone, plastics or rubber polymers. At least 5 years of applications engineering and manufacturing experience. Working knowledge of injection molds and extrusion die design, function and construction. Excellent interactive skills.

Candidate should be a team player, able to work with all levels and departments--Quality, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Customers regarding Medical, Biopharmaceutical and Industrial silicone products and applications.


Qualifications:


Responsibilities:

• Development of new projects from conception to full production

• Design new processes and process enhancements for new products. Planning and conducting experiments throughout stages of development to characterize process windows.

• Acquisition and implementation of equipment

• Complete project management-Lead /Supervise application engineers and designers

• Project management for all Life Science product lines globally.

Responsible for leading/supervise engineering group in project management of new business projects which include: part costing, tool quoting, material specifications, product testing, prototype development, processing of new tools, testing standards, writing capital requisitions for equipment and providing direct contact with customers. Work with equipment suppliers to ensure compliance with equipment specifications, OSHA requirements and delivery schedules. Take ownership of tool preventive maintenance specifications and management of troubleshooting activities and defect analysis and reduction until completion of IOQ of new products. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for the success of all new business. Travel as required to perform the objectives and end results of the function. Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
