Job Description:
This position will lead the design, development, integration, and testing of Video / Audio Broadcast Systems. These systems include collection, terrestrial transmission, professional decoding, encoding, monitoring, and modulation. Be responsible for system engineering, writing equipment technical specifications, writing Statement of Work, vendor selection, training operation personnel, and management of vendors. This person will perform complex system and device level problem analysis and problem solving including modeling and reproducing production problems in a lab.
Specific Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise):
- Candidates must possess strong working knowledge of MPEG Systems including various methods of communicating MPEG transport streams which includes MPEG over ASI; RF modulation; and especially MPEG over IP
- Proficient system level problem solving and debugging skills are required
Experience Required:
- Candidates must have extensive experience to include 7+ years in MPEG Systems
- Experience with a variety of MPEG encoders, test equipment, and transportation equipment is essential
- Experience with MPEG Carriage over IP is required
Education Required:
- A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- An MS degree Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is desired
