Responsibilities:
- Assists higher level team members in the data development process by analyzing and modeling data
- Works with higher level data resources to learn about the variety of problems that can exist with current data applications
- Applies new technical approaches to best resolve customer problems
- Keeps current with new approaches in the field (e.g., via classes, reading, working with experts)
- Considers cost of various business actions or alternatives in determining customer solutions
- Applies knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems
- Identifies opportunities or problems and acts quickly and decisively to respond to the situation
- Actively seeks feedback in order to improve his/her performance
Data Analyst Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise):
- Bachelor of Science degree and 2 + years of experience or equivalent
- Our client needs specifically someone that has excellent MS Excel (VLOOKUP, data manipulation, Pivot Tables, merging of file etc.) experience
- 5 + Years of Advanced Excel experience
- Prefer to have someone who has 1024 and 2048 Certificate experience or experience with remediation of certs from 1024 to 2048
- Ability to analyze and model data
- Working knowledge of indexing and tuning methods
- Working knowledge of relational database design
- Working knowledge of database programming and locking internals
- Ability to determine and meet customer expectations on solution development, progress reporting, and frequency of communication
- Understands the customers of the IT organization and demonstrates a clear commitment to their satisfaction
- Understands how to work flexibly within organizational policies and procedures
