Location: Union City Area

Position Status: Direct Hire


We are currently seeking a Manager for the Engineering Department. Successful managers will have outstanding expertise within the Electrical field. Engineering Managers will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team of Electrical, Civil, Draft/Design and any other types of engineers or technical professionals in the overall vision of the Department. As well capable of executing the oversight of schedules, deadlines, budgets in combination in being a strong motivator, team oriented and dedicated to building professionals relationships with the Department personal. As Director of Project Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and leading a multidisciplinary team focused on efficient and innovative engineering and permitting of utility-scale PV power plants across the Americas.


Experience Required







  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. (Professional License)



  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing engineering personnel



  • Must have 2+ years' experience within the dedicated to the Renewable Energy



  • Must be Bi-lingual in Spanish/English, this includes complete knowledge of design and permitting requirements across the Americas



  • Great experience in hiring, training managing of broad multi-disciplinary project engineering team for example (AC EE, DC EE, SCADA, CAD, Civil, Project Engineer, Performance Engineer)



  • Must have experience in project engineering structure that ensures high quality, efficient and cost effective design for the application and fast turnaround of project design packages



  • Experience managing 3rd party consultants (e.g., design consultants and independent testing companies), as needed, to accomplish the tasks outlined above



  • Creating a complete Bill-of-Materials (BOM) for each project in close collaboration with Supply-Chain Department



  • Ability to register with NCEES for multiple licensing opportunities in other states in which company may develop or construct projects



  • Must have demonstrate strong engineering, design, and communication/presentation skills, and an ability to work in a dynamic team environment to think outside the box and solve traditional problems in new ways




Technical Skill Sets Required







  • In-depth knowledge of large commercial inverter technology and specifications, including Power Factor Control and Anti?Islanding features



  • In-depth knowledge of power system components and sizing methods including their specifications, cost, efficiency, code compliance, performance, and reliability



  • Grow internal design capabilities and knowledge base to respond to next generation PV plant architecture, including integration of Energy Storage Systems, complex plant controls, and higher DC voltage plant designs




Highly Preferred Skill Sets







  • Professional Engineer / Licensed in CA



  • Ability to navigate within AutoCAD, PVSYST, and/or PVWATTS software packages
