HR Share Service Center Representative



Description of Work:

This position is based in Sylmar, CA.

Working under direct supervision and following established policies, practices and procedures, performs a variety of activities to support Human Resources (HR) data quality, employee benefits administration, leave of absence management and immigration data entry processing. As directed, implements Company and HR specific policies, practices and procedures to accomplish assignments and resolves a broad range of employee requests in a confidential and discreet manner. Assumes responsibility to provide various services with high quality and efficiency. Adapts existing work methods to different situations. Can resolve unusual, nonstandard problems; refers significant deviations from approved policy, practice and procedure to supervisor or more senior level personnel for resolution. Completes special assignments and projects as required.


Requirements/Education: High School Diploma and typically a minimum of two or more years of HR experience, including supporting the administration of employee benefits programs, leaves of absence management and maintenance of HR systems data. Strong working knowledge and understanding of HR and all aspects of the job, including the applicable federal and state laws. Incumbents are required to work cooperatively and productively with others. Demonstrated organizational skills, attentiveness to detail, and the ability to work under direct supervision is required. Must be adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner while meeting assigned deadlines. Must also have demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, basic math, analytical and problem solving skills. The comprehensive ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is also required; this requirement includes clear, understandable speech, demonstrated comprehension skills, and demonstrated competence in English spelling, grammar and punctuation. The demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, rules is essential. Must be able to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information. Demonstrated proficiency in operating a personal computer. Must be proficient in using various PC-based Windows applications and HR systems. Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance; the ability work overtime is also required. Desired Requirements: An Associates degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent. Previous experience using SAP, Kronos and Crystal Reports is preferred.
