Position Description:A Software Implementation Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of Perl and XML/XSL applications and an in-house expert system rule engine used to customize a state-of-the-art natural language processing (NLP) system. Working with Client Services, NLP developers and domain experts, the engineer will design creative solutions using a variety of tools to satisfy unique client requirements.
Positions in this function conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning. They support short and long term operational/strategic business activities by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Perl and XML/XSL scripts based on provided requirements
Work issues from a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and log completed tasks
Handle multiple high priority issues simultaneously
Collaborate with QA, Client Services, and other team members to troubleshoot issues
Detail oriented, quick learner with strong problem solving and analytical ability
Good oral and written communication skills
Customer service oriented with a strong commitment to produce high quality, workable solutions for both internal and external customers.
Moderate work experience within own function.
Some work is completed without established procedures.
Basic tasks are completed without review by others.
Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or HS diploma/GED with 4+ years Perl programming experience
2+ Years experience programming in Perl
2+ Years experience interpreting software requirementsAssets:
Familiarity with HL7
Working with XML and XSLT
Windows server/database application and desktop application
