LEAD RADIOLOGY NURSE

- AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION - BLS

- FIRE/SAFETY CARD (must be presented within 30 days from DOH)

- 1-3 years of experience

POSITION SUMMARY


The Imaging Services Lead RN compliments and supports the Interventional Radiology team's functions in the daily operations, which includes staffing, case scheduling, quality assurance, risk management, safety, and infection control. Establishes and promotes collaborative and collegial relationships with PACU, Short Stay and other nursing units as needed in coordinating work activities and allocating resources to ensure safe and optimum patient care.


REQUIREMENTS


At least five years experience in radiology intervention, cath lab or critical care setting. A strong knowledge of the principles and practices of general nursing and extensive interventional services processes and practices. An understanding of basic bacteriology as applied to contamination control and aseptic techniques. A working knowledge of managerial principals including staffing, scheduling, effective utilization of department resources. A knowledge of regulatory requirements/agencies that impact interventional radiology. Current license as Registered Nurse in the State of California required. Los Angeles City Fire/Safety Card within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
