Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Ten years of demonstrated success in a Loan Officer/Mortgage Originations position may be considered in lieu of a High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years experience originating mortgage loans is required. Experience in mortgage operations, processing or underwriting with a minimum of one year industry related sales experience may be substituted for mortgage originations. Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLC, FHA, and VA guidelines required. Proven sales/relationship building and customer service experience is required. Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the territory. Must have a valid driver's license. An income verification may be required as part of the hiring process. Mortgage Advisors are required to obtain a license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in order to originate mortgages at PHH. Additionally, candidates must be able to meet applicable state licensing requirements as required by PHH. Licensing requirements can include, but are not limited to satisfactory completion of background checks, fingerprinting, credit reports, testing and continuing education. This is in addition to what the company requires upon hire.
