Job Description
The Warehouse/Logistics Manager will work closely and report to the Service Delivery Executive to facilitate the smooth, efficient daily operations of the Logistics program and assist in meeting the required SLA’s (Service Level Agreement’s). This position will act as a manager for the teams that are responsible for the full optimization of the logistics and warehouse services. This person will be responsible for evolving and scaling the current team, processes and systems to deliver high-end services to the fast growing number of customer end-users.
- Identify and implement new WMS solutions to enhance current operations.
- Design, support and further develop tools and processes to enhance communication between the Logistics group and other operations management groups.
- Work cross functionally with teams to drive process improvements and automation related to the efficient deployment and recovery of hardware.
- Review any issues that need immediate attention with the applicable manager on a weekly basis.
- Communicate inventory and hardware status to Deployment and Returns teams.
- Work with Asset Management to prioritize allocation of available hardware to both infrastructure and business projects.
- Maintain Inventory based on minimum/maximum levels and updated database.
- Analysis of service performance to required service levels.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and career development to employees, including setting performance goals and providing feedback.
Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of process improvement (ITSM), requirements gathering, and tool implementation.
- Ability to foster teamwork through encouragement and building of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and adapt quickly to shifting business priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts, lead meetings, deliver presentations, and facilitate problem resolution.
- Knowledge of inventory management in a large-scale environment is a plus.
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of warehouse/logistics management.
- Experience with managing hardware deployments in an enterprise environment.
- Experience in determining and utilizing key performance indicators to drive improvements in the customer IT experience.
- Experience with the budgeting process and managing operating expense a plus.
