Membership Regional Chapter Coordinator- Active National Language Service Corps Member Only

This position is located in our CA, Los Angeles facility

Performs a variety of administrative and functional tasks in support of a federal government language program.


1. Serves as the activities and resource coordinator to a diverse regional multilingual membership base of about 300+ members, communicating and interacting regularly with members in person, via e-mail, social media, and phone.

2. Develops plans and schedules, and ensures tasks meet project requirements for assigned program.

3. Creates and maintains diverse database of resources for Regional Chapter information and activities.

4. Plans and coordinates meeting space and arrangements with hotels, restaurants, and other event venues.

5. Interacts and networks with local organizations and entities to establish meaningful and long-lasting relationships to benefit the Regional/local membership.

6. Plans, coordinates, and conducts events, visits, local activities, and/or gatherings with the local membership.

7. Manages the membership database in and tracks activity information in CRM.

8. Generates Chapter activity reports and provides regular updates of chapter program activities to the Operations Division to ensure Regional Chapter goals are met.

9. Participates in teleconferences for planning and coordination meetings.

10. Works with the Operations Division and the Regional Chapter to recruit new languages and skills in response to mission/client requirements.

11. Collaborates with the Interactions and Engagement Team for planning and membership activities.

12. Participates in special projects as assigned.


Requires BS/BA degree.


2-5 years of professional business experience required.

1-2 years of experience in event or meeting planning preferred.

1-2 years of experience networking with Los Angeles Area organizations preferred.


Member of the National Language Service Corps (NLSC) required.

Ability and willingness to work with individuals from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.

Ability and willingness to network with private and public organizations in the Los Angeles Area.

Ability and willingness to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented team.

Must reside in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
