The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), is a private, non-profit national organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis. CCFA sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality, offers a wide range of educational programs for patients and health care professionals, and provides supportive services to patients and family members


Position Summary:

Reporting to the National Director, the Manager, National Take Steps may be located anywhere in the US near a major metro airport, preferably Eastern side of the country. The Director will be responsible for securing and managing key partnerships that strengthen and drive double digit revenue increases for Take Steps. Responsible for achieving goals and budgets for volunteer and revenue development by working as a player/ coach with Chapter staff and volunteers in the Eastern Division.


Position Responsibilities



  • Develop and deliver tools and training for chapters to enhance their capability to effectively sell corporate sponsorships, promotions, and team recruitment on a local level.

  • Develop and adhere to clear standards, guidelines, tools and practices in order to execute effective partnerships.

  • Identify and qualify prospects, develop appropriate proposals, and make presentations to companies (with a focus on high value companies – cash, budget-relieving in-kind ) that build new corporate sponsors and teams.

  • Identify and qualify prospects, develop appropriate proposals, and make presentations to expand existing media partnerships and develop new partnerships

  • Identify and qualify prospects, make sales pitch, cultivate and activate local, regional, and national Take Steps Corporate Revenue Chairs.



  • Work with all levels of employees and volunteers across the organization and build/manage relationships

  • Train, coach and assist sales staff/chapter staff across the country


Qualifications Required:



  • Four year college degree

  • 5 to 7 years experience of related event/ walk experience

  • Volunteer development of corporate Senior level executives

  • Corporate sponsorship and team development

  • Ability to plan and think strategically

  • Media partnerships

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Travel approximately 50%.

  • Must possess a good credit history.
