Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients who suffer from a mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling conditions. Therapists in this role will provide one on one occupational therapy care to adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses in both our inpatient and outpatient settings. Persons in this role will be responsible to evaluate patients and interpret evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction. They will develop and coordinate the plan of care as well as establish treatment goals. Additionally they will interact and provide advice and education to patients and caregivers as needed. After one year of experience, they will be eligible to serve as a clinical instructor for OT students.


Qualifications:



  • Current licensure to practice Occupational Therapy by the State of California

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy curriculum with a Bachelors or Masters degree

  • Certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist from the National Board of Certification

  • BLS certification

  • Experience in an acute care hospital setting strongly preferred

  • Mental health background is a plus

  • Hand experience is a plus

  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays

  • Fire and safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 30 days.

  • Bilingual Spanish or Russian is a plus

  • New graduates encouraged to apply
