This position is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and operational functions for an expanded (30+ person) team managing all of the season ticket sales, service and elevated retention activities representing upwards $150M+ in annual revenues in the coming years. This executive will also provide strategic guidance and direction to other ticket, service and related program functions as required by the SVP, Marketing or other MSG Sports executives on other significant sports initiatives. An additional key function will be ultimate oversight of the relocation process around the renovation of the movement of season ticket holders to new seats. An additional function will be to drive lead the company's strategic direction in the flex and secondary ticket markets.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have minimum 10 years experience in Sports Marketing and Sales along with 7+ years in management positions. Must have the ability to manage multiple sales teams with over 50 salespeople. Must have deep knowledge of, and relationships with, key players in the advertising/sponsorship business. Must have Experience in negotiating multi-million dollar deals with C-level executives along with experience in budgeting, forecasting revenues and expenses. Should have a strong understanding of marketing and advertising opportunities that MSG may use to sell tickets and suites. Looking for a candidate with relationships with key business leaders in New York. Must have ability to understand market trends and how they affect the various businesses that MSG Team Sales is responsible for. The ideal candidate will have experience in web base secondary ticket sales operations and / or ticket resale company and experience creating effective sales compensation plans.
