Remote Care Product Engineer II



Description of Work:

Working under general supervision, performs a variety of moderate risk Remote Care Product Engineering activities. Work includes using an understanding of key algorithms and features of our Remote Care Products to drive engineering activities. Work may also include training/mentoring less experienced employees, presenting to internal/external customers, vendors, and senior management, developing and executing tests, developing database queries, developing and executing manual as well as automated validation scripts, performing root cause analysis and participating in cross-functional team investigations. Work requires the application of theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity and creative/analytical techniques typically acquired in a recognized four-year or more academic course of study. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems. Effectively communicates moderately complex technical issues and solutions to non-technical internal and external customers. Exercises technical judgment in planning, organizing, performing, and/or coordinating engineering work. Remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.


Requirements/Education:







  • Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree.



  • A minimum of three plus years of related experience in a relevant work environment such as technical services, software development, database management or network product servicing.



  • Must have demonstrated personal computer skills and be able to perform complex word processing/spreadsheet tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.



  • Requires demonstrated written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, follow-up skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.



  • Strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to converse effectively with all levels of employees.



  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments.



  • Must be able to perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment.



  • Ability to deliver quality engineering information that adds value to managements decision making process.



  • Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, and tasks.



  • Evaluation, originality, and/or ingenuity required.



  • Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.




Desired Requirements:







  • An advanced credential in a relevant discipline/concentration.

  • Professional certification or designation.



  • Six-Sigma knowledge and experience. Training and experience in manufacturing processes and methods.



  • Experience in the manufacturing of medical devices.
