Ruby on Rails Developer

Candidate will be responsible for developing Ruby on Rails applications using full stack of web based technologies as well as Javascript skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Enhancing existing platforms including talking to stakeholders and storyboarding and writing of test cases from user stories.

  
  


• 
  

  Evaluating new technologies while enhancing existing code

  
  


• 
  

  Analyzing business application requirements for functional areas

  
  


• 
  

  Writing code, testing and debugging software applications

  
  


• 
  

  Recommending system changes and enhancements

  
  


• 
  

  Documenting software specifications and training users

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Degree in computer science, engineering, science, or related discipline.

  
  


• 
  

  Must have proven experience on a Ruby on Rails project.

  
  


• 
  

  Ideally we are looking for a self-motivated programmer who knows HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Oracle, and/or PostgreSQL and is familiar with GitHub.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiar with web service or API development.

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
