Position Description:

Attwood Corporation, a Brunswick Company, is the world’s leading manufacturer of marine accessories for the boating industry, including a wide range of seating, hardware, fuel systems, navigational lighting, pumps, trolling motors and other electro-mechanical components.

We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated person who as the ability to drive performance through the understanding of continuous improvement, preventative maintenance systems, and troubleshooting equipment/processes. The position will report within the Lowell, MI facility on the 8:00am – 4:30pm (must be flexible with work hours) shift as a Senior Maintenance Technician**.

Responsibilities for this position will include:

• Drive continuous improvement through trouble shooting and analysis of equipment and processes

• Implement and maintain a PMP to drive uptime within the facility

• Participate in product launches, including fixture and cell design

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of Aluminum welding equipment

• Alter, poke-yoke, and repair equipment / fixtures for manufacturing and distribution operations when needed

• Report out monthly on status of open projects

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required. GRCC’s “Industrial Maintenance Certificate” or equivalent is preferred.

• Strong problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve machine/equipment root cause issues.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and written.

• 5+ years prior electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems work experience or combination of education and training required.

• Background in Lean Mfg is desired

• Must be proficient with PLC (ladder logic, RS500/5000) trouble shooting

• PLC programming proficient

• Experience with MS Office preferred

Successful candidates will be highly motivated, team players who demonstrate the knowledge of PLC logic, sensor technology (i.e. Photoelectric, Limit, Vision, Color…) and an in-depth understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
