Well funded growth mode start-up is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to architect and scale their system to hundreds of thousands of users!
We build social communities around interests, affinities, and movements. We have started by launching the world's largest brands (Major League Baseball PA, Nike, Coke, Lady Gaga and Mandela) and will be scaling to an entire universe of communities.
Current online communities are broken -- when they scale, communication breaks down. Considering the sheer number of communities in the world and their individual uniqueness, this is an extremely difficult and momentous problem to solve. We’re tackling it head on through a confluent of machine learning, crowdsourced moderation, and powerful organizer tools.

The DevOps Engineer will get involved in every part of our site - from the earliest stage of product design and development to deployment, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
Requirements:
- Programming experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, etc..
- Experience with Puppet
- Linux system administration skills. Debian-base Linux is a plus.
