About the Opportunity
The Sr. Director, Project Delivery owns a small-medium book of business (1-2 accounts), a complex build project or 1-2 functional groups within a Digital or Database project delivery group.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
1. Be billable on strategic projects or accounts requiring significant oversight, including creating/evaluating project plans and monitoring project progress and delivery quality
2. Actively assess and manage the delivery resources within book of business
3. Provide oversight and monitor overall account ‘health’ for book of business from a delivery and quality standpoint
4. Troubleshoot project issues with account mgmt and engage appropriate resources as needed
5. Provide leadership, training and mentoring to team
6. Proactively work to improve delivery quality, repeatability and on time delivery of key projects as part of both project work and/or strategic company initiatives
Qualifications
The Sr. Director, Project Delivery should have a minimum of 10 years of direct experience managing complex IT projects, preferably in the Database Marketing space, with 5+ years of supervisory experience. This individual must:
Have expert project management skills and be comfortable leading 5-15 person project teams.
Be an expert in the full development lifecycle (SDLC)
Have strong problem solving and negotiation skills in a client-facing environment
Have strong leadership and people management skills
Have the ability to work effectively under significant deadline pressure
Supervisory Responsibilities include coordinating and leading projects, managing and leading others (up to 7 direct reports and 15 indirect reports), and managing a functional area or program
Knowledge of or experience with the following is preferred:
Relational Database Management Systems
Campaign Management tools (e.g., Unica, Alterian)
Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Reporting/Analysis Services)
Data hygiene and CDI
Web technologies (e.g., HTML, XML, web services)
Email technologies
Marketing concepts
Other Skills, Knowledge or Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Excellent client management skills
Excellent negotiation and people management skills
Relevant technical and marketing domain knowledge
Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed environment on multiple priorities under pressure
