Telenav, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr. Mobile SEO and Paid Acquisition Manager to drive continued growth and category leadership in search. This is a unique opportunity to play a leadership role in driving a comprehensive and innovative online marketing program for a large mobile first company who is a leader in the navigation category with their app: Scout. This individual will focus on the Company’s mobile and online acquisition efforts and must have CPI, SEM, and SEO hands-on expertise.

The Sr. Manager, Mobile SEO and Paid Acquisition will be responsible for customer acquisition, managing a substantial marketing budget, and creating the infrastructure to support the mobile acquisition efforts. This position will be charged with day to day management and execution of Telenav’s organic and paid search marketing strategies and programs including onsite and app store optimization (ASO), product initiatives, cross functional collaboration, engaging content development, paid acquisition, analysis and reporting.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be on the ground floor in the hyper-growth mobile sector. Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of mobile marketing and mobile apps.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director of Acquisition to develop and drive acquisition strategy and business plans. Engage and collaborate with the product teams to drive initiatives for best user experience and content, impacting rankings of category keywords in organic search and in mobile app stores.

  • Engage with marketing managers and other stakeholders to set and drive aggressive goals for customer acquisition through organic and paid search traffic and drive business requirements with product and engineering teams.

  • Manage day-to-day tactical execution of SEO strategies, including: Keyword research, analysis, and portfolio management, identifying growth opportunities; On-site content optimization; Ownership & reporting of key SEO performance metrics; and Coordination with PR, social media, partner, creative and product teams to maximize SEO value of initiatives across the company.

  • Manage and drive evolution of ASO reporting construct, develop and present monthly updates.

  • Responsible for the creation, management and execution of a clear mobile and online paid marketing strategy that maximizes budget, drives ROI, and hits specific CPI goals

  • Manage campaigns across multiple mobile channels including mobile ad-buys, affiliates, sponsorships and SEM.

  • Provide expertise and guidance at tracking campaigns

  • Manage the agency and develop third-party relationships to secure CPI deals

  • Identify, negotiate and test marketing programs with strategic partners and emerging marketing channels

  • Conduct analysis and work with the various teams to determine the value of acquisition efforts. Develop and manage multivariate and A/B testing programs to maximize acquisition efforts and return.

  • Lead creative and test development for any programs or materials needed to support acquisition programs, landing pages and ads.


  • 8+ years search marketing experience with 3 years of direct online/mobile experience

  • Proven leadership in developing and executing customer acquisition strategies and an ability to demonstrate and articulate a strong philosophy around mobile organic and paid optimization

  • Experience in working within iOS and Android app marketplaces, as well as with multiple carriers and hardware manufacturers

  • Exceptional skills in data analysis and mathematics

  • Exceptional knowledge and grasp of ROI based quantitative marketing models

  • Proficient in quantitative tools including a high proficiency in MS Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLookups, and Sensitivity Analysis

  • Outstanding communication skills and great intuition

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for getting results

  • Experience with web analytics suites such as Google Analytics and Kontagent is a plus

  • BA/BS in economics, mathematics, computer science or other quantitative disciplines, MBA preferred.
