Tele Charge RN

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director for the Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit, the Charge Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients of any age group admitted for medical surgical problems. The Charge Nurse assumes primary responsibility for the coordination of nursing care services provided on designated shifts in collaboration with the Director. The Charge Nurse provides direction to Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. The Charge Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


· Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.

· Must have BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Required).

· Must have 1-2 years experience as a RN in acute care Tele.

· Must have 2-3 years Charge or Management experience.
