Western is seeking an Accountant, to perform various advanced analysis, reconciliations and schedules in support of the Financial Statement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manages loan servicing accounting including new loans, payoffs, balancing, and produces monthly reports.

  • Prepares Investment reconciliation as well as monitors and records investment transactions.

  • Monitors Federal Reserve Bank account and related general ledger accounts.

  • Maintains Fixed Assets reporting and documentation.

  • Performs daily monitoring of various general ledger activities, including posting tovarious general ledger accounts.

  • Monitors and maintains Share/Loan balancing of the operating system to the general ledger daily.

  • Receives checks in Symitar and delivers to the branch daily.

  • Posts payroll entries bi-weekly.

  • Prepares property tax filling.

  • Assists in the preparation of the financial statement and various month-end closing activities.

  • Interfaces with Management in the preparation of various accounting reports.

Job Requirements:

Western is seeking energetic and motivated individuals with a passion for delivering superior service and contributing to a team environment.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with two college-level accounting classes.

  • Minimum of three years of related experience, preferably in a financial institution.

  • Must have General Ledger reconciliation experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing software applications.
