Description
Essential Job Functions
- Creation of charge codes and management of the CSC WFF charge code database; interfacing with the Service Center accounting department to initiate and shut down codes within our CostPoint accounting system. This includes annual extension of charge code validity based on contract funding.
- Provide new charge codes to personnel as needed when new WKRPs are funded
- Ensure T&M employees are charging to the proper T&M charge code by monitoring
- Monitor OAWR funding streams, period of performance dates and interfacing with TSS, region, site management and other PMO departments such as HR, pricing and billing
- Weekly preparation, generate and publish extended work week (EWW) reports calculating additional pay for exempt personnel supporting OAWR efforts
- Weekly preparation, generate non-exempt pay calculations for SCA employees (Alternate SCA Title Data) working in higher paid positions and incorporate into monthly mass upload to Service Center for additional pay
- Prepare the Area Wage Determination (AWD) (Alternate Work location) comparison report for employees working away from their home station and incorporate into monthly mass upload for additional pay
- Review of daily time card detail report and notify managers for employees to correct time cards in a timely manner
- Prepare and log labor adjustments and/or manual time cards as needed on a weekly basis
- Prepare and log labor adjustments requested by billing to reclass labor when personnel submit labor hours against incorrect charge code
- Review employee holiday hours usage and notify managers as corrections are needed.
- Answer email and phone timekeeping questions for all programs managed by the Orlando PMO; interface with Service Center accounting department members to obtain assistance as needed
- Weekly review of Zero hours report sending email to all managers to ensure all personnel have enter their labor hours in eTES
- Annual Review of CBA union Contracts to see if any new charge codes are required to be built
- Processes complex employee financial information and payments such as tax information, benefits, bonuses, deductions, commission and tuition reimbursement. Prepares and processes payments for deceased employee benefits including completing appropriate tax documentation.
- Answers employee questions and inquiries about tax and financial issues such as overpayments, benefit deductions and direct deposit to ensure employee understanding of and compliance with company policies and practices.
- Oversees and updates employee financial information such as benefits, tax exemptions, and direct deposit information.
- Oversees, reviews, researches, and adjusts time records to ensure accuracy in order to complete payroll.
- Provides and adjusts complex payroll interface to general ledger; ensures information is accurate and current.
- Oversees and coordinates preparation and distribution of payroll reports to corporate office.
- Provides complex payroll information to employees for purposes such as tax reporting.
- Oversees preparation and issuance of pay checks to ensure accuracy.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Four or more years of payroll experience
- Experience working with payroll and tax laws
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles
- Experience working with tax forms and processing
Other Qualifications
- Communication skills to interact with employees, co-workers and management
- Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Good interpersonal skills for communicating with other departments and answering employee questions
- Ability to work in a team environment
