AMC has a 96.5% quality rating (which exceeds state and national averages) and is a regional Level I Trauma Center that receives patients from 67 other hospitals.

Some duties include:

Provide adminstrative and clinical support to the Chair/Director of Ortho residnecy program. Provide clinical support for the orthopedic practice, schedules cases, pre-certifies surgical cases and contacts vendors prior to surgical cases. Assist with educational operations beween attending physicians, residents, medical students and institutional and regulatory administrative offices. Overseas the care of athletes within the Atlanta Public School system. Oversee the function and usage of the sports medicine clinic as well as to assist the trauma orthopedics team in providing care to the orthopedic trauma patiets

Qualifications

Position requires a Masters Degree in Athletic Training or related degree, certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certifications, certified in BLS and AED, previous experience in clinic operations.

Previous Academic and/or healthcare experience preferred.
