Amazon.com is looking for individuals with advanced experience in the development of BPM solutions with any BPM Suite, preferably Appian. The position requires a mix of programming experience along with a high level of Business interaction. The BPM Analyst/Developer will work closely with members of multiple functional areas as well as business representatives in order to help define, streamline, automate and monitor business processes. The ideal candidate would possess a technology background in developing business applications, an advanced competency in BPM, a working knowledge of BPMN, a high degree of collaborative skills, the ability to communicate effectively on many levels, and the desire to mentor others in BPM skill sets.Tasks and responsibilities Work with Business staff to identify business processes, validate requirements and create UI designs. Collaborate with Process Owners, Business Process Analysts, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Project Managers to develop BPM solutions to automate business processes. Utilize an Agile development approach and be able to demonstrate results to stakeholders in order to validate and/or refine the solution. Collaborate on the implementation of technical deliverables such as processes, services, user interfaces, integrations, database queries, and web services. Learn and support existing applications to ensure excellent user experience Work to ensure service level agreements are defined and followed Assist in generating reports, data tables, charts as required by business stakeholders Understand system configuration and the interaction with underlying applications, services, and databases in order to ensure optimal performance. Implement continuous process monitoring and perform regular performance tuning based on results Train and mentor others in the practice of BPM

Basic Qualifications

3+ years experience building/developing business applications. 2+ years experience in developing business processes using BPM methodologies on any major BPM platform 2+ years experience in application development in languages such as Java, JEE, C# 2+ years experience with a working knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle etc.) 1+ years experience in application integration using SOA/web services, messaging (JMS, MSMQ) 1+ years programming experience with related technology such as XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, various JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Dojo, Ext JS etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

1+ year experience with database schema design Experience of Process modeling using BPM notation or equivalent Working experience with Linux/Unix Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen *LI-KS2
