C Developer

Our client has an immediate need for an experienced C Developer in San Jose, California (CA).

Now is an exciting time to work in our client's Engineering Licensing Office (ELO) as they shape the future of the company's software strategy. Software licensing is one of the top customer satisfaction (CSAT) issues at our client today. Our client's customers and partners find it difficult to consume, activate and manage software due to the complex licensing process with different licensing policies and licensing technologies across our client's product portfolio. There is a critical need for our client to develop a standardized approach to licensing and make it easier for customers and partners to do business with them.

You will be joining a team of energetic engineers to design and build a platform to enable Smart Licensing for all software products. The solution involves a Smart Agent (C or Java) running on software product instances and communicating with a cloud-based licensing service to register, request and report license usage. Usage data is processed and consolidated with additional customer data in a Ruby on Rails engine, and then presented to users through a company-hosted UI portal built using Bootstrap and Back-bone.

Our client is looking for an experienced C developer to help with the Smart Agent team:

  • 4-7 years of C development in a large scale project

  • Experience with IOS development is highly desirable

  • Experience and well versed in multi-threaded programming

  • Experience working in Agile development environment

  • Knowledge of software licensing is a plus

  • Creative problem solving and debugging skills

  • Independent and self-motivated

  • Adaptive and communicative

  • Ability to learn quickly and critically
