   Perform thorough inspections and related repairs on equipment owned or operated by Swift Transportation as directed by leadership

   
   

   Essential Functions

   
   

   Assist/Perform diagnosis and repairs of the tractor/trailer fleet
   
   Assist/Complete of all necessary tags and work orders
   
   Maintain a clean and safe area

   
   

   Experience Required

   
   

   Varies by position. M-Grade Apptitude Test required for all Mechanic positions. 1M - Some previous experience, 2M - 6, 3M - 12, 4M - 24, 5M - 36 months mechanical related experience in transportation, heavy equipment, or agriculture industry preferred. Education and/or apptitude testing may substitute for experience.

   
   
   

Position Requirements

Familiar with general hand mechanic tools. Ability to read and understand repair manuals. Understanding of basic data-entry and computer use.

Required Education

High School Diploma GED or accredited technical school certificates/graduation preferred. Valid drivers license required.

Required Experience

Varies by position. M-Grade Aptitude Test required on all Mechanic positions. Education and/or proficiency testing may substitute for experience.
