DIRECTOR, Cardiopulmonary and Rehab Services


This position requires participation in the organization's Service Excellence program with behavior that promotes excellent customer service. Position requirements include overall management and oversight of the Cardiopulmonary and Rehab Services. Oversight for staff development, scheduling, management of scheduled time off, monitoring staffing variances and effectiveness of staffing. Other responsibilities include recommending individuals for hiring, the oversight for the departments fiscal responsibilities, and the participation in the organizational Performance Improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include the sustained performance of the department to meet or exceed regulatory requirements. The Director oversight shall include, but not limited to Respiratory Services, EKG, Cardiac Echo, Stress Testing, Pulmonary Function Lab, Physicial Therapy, Speech Therapy and EEG. Other duties as assigned. Responsibility also includes


Demonstrates good communication skills. Can work in team based environments. Exercises good judgment in prioritizing projects. Ability to implement corrective action. Takes a positive approach to change. Can generate solutions to problematic situations. Understands principles of adult education. Proficiency in word and excel preferred. Knowledge of regulatory requirement in area of responsibility. Basic knowledge of department budget management and other fiscal responsibilities. Joint Commisison and CAP survey experience required.

  • Previous experience in a leadership position preferred. 5 years experience in an acute care Cardiopulmonary setting preferred. Bachelors / Masters Degree Preferred.

  • Current California Respiratory Therapy license. (RRT Required)
