Director

Job Description:

The Administrator is responsible for working collaboratively with the President of the Foundation, the Board, and the community to manage The Foundation. This position has ultimate responsibility for the overall management of the Foundation including, but not limited to operations, financial management, hiring and personnel management, board and external relations, and vendor management.


The Administrator of the Foundation plays a vital and strategic role in the growth of Foundation and to the success of the fundraising goals. The position must have the capacity to take the Foundation to the next level.


1. The Administrator will be responsible for managing the daily administrative and operational functions of the Foundation and overseeing the activities of the full-time and part time staff and consultants. The organization's annual operating budget is currently $1.2 million.


2. Establishes goals and objectives for the Foundation that are consistent with Mount Sinai School of Medicines policies as well as federal, state and local regulations pertaining to a 501C organization. This may include defining the scope of specific projects, and analyzing requirements to execute those projects successfully.


3. The Administrator will oversee, implement and maintain clear administrative, fiscal and operational systems in a role that is critical to the success of the Foundation's rapidly growing infrastructure.


4. Individual will be mission-focused and process-minded manager who is able to mentor, direct and assist others to deliver measurable results. This team player will have management experience in finance, administration and operations.


5. Provides administrative direction and coordination in the formulation, interpretation and administration of current and long range policies, procedures and programs.


6. Oversees the daily operation of the Foundation, including creating and implementing production schedules, and/or tracking and reporting systems, managing work assignments and identifying and resolving issues


7. Plans budget needs by analyzing short and long-term program plans. Collaborates with the President of Foundation to assure the completion of the annual budget and financial monitoring


8. May chair or participate in Foundation committees.


9. Performs other related duties.

Job Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred


3-5 years of experience in not for profit field, health care finance or administration; experience in strategic planning and execution, formulating policy, building and developing financial plans, managing resources and leading successful teams
