The Circulation Department of the Houston Chronicle is currently recruiting for job opportunities at our warehouses. WAREHOUSE LOCATIONS: Southwest Houston, Northwest Houston,Southeast Houston, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Ellington, and Hardy/Beltway.

DISTRICT MANAGERS (Full-time)
As a District Manager for the Houston Chronicle, you will be responsible for managing the home delivery function at one of our Warehouse locations.

Duties include:
- Providing superior delivery service to subscribers

- Recruiting and contracting with independent contractors in various distribution functions

- Resolving customer service related issues in a timely and efficient manner

- Assisting in subscriber retention and subscriber sales efforts

- Auditing routes to evaluate the profitability and appraisal of delivery service and sales potential

- Assuming delivery responsibilities for open routes

Qualified candidates will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Superior customer service standards

- Outstanding leadership qualities

We require:
- Management experience

- 3 + years experience in newspaper circulation preferred

- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills a must

- Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance

- Must be able to work early morning hours

- High School Diploma or GED

DISTRICT ASSISTANTS
This position pays $12 an hour.

In this role, you will:
- Deliver open newspaper routes on time with a goal of zero complaints

- Deliver service requests to customers in a timely manner

- May also be temporarily assigned to assist at more than one warehouse location

We require:
- Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance

- Newspaper delivery experience a plus

- Must be able to work early morning hours

- High School diploma or GED
