We focus in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Industrial Engineers that are hired in all areas of products design, manufacturing, quality, process improvement, and compliance. Our clients are from a variety of industries including biomedical, defense, medical device, medical implants, custom chemical manufacturers, power/utilities, recycling plants, and consumer packaged goods.
Electrical Design Technician - Drafter - Designer- Engineer
Job Summary:
Electrical Design Technician - $35,000 - $50,000 -Orlando, FL (59495) - Qualified candidates will have experience designing the electrical components, using Visio. Required experience includes design to UL and NEC standards, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, low voltage power supply and distribution, conduit fill, voltage drop, cable sizing and electrical current flow (ampacity). Must be comfortable interacting with clients and designing new customized solutions based on client requirements. Some relocation assistance available.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Interpret customer, sales and engineering specifications.
- Create or Modify or wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, power distribution design to meet technical requirements.
- Perform basic electrical calculations: conduit fill, voltage drop, cable sizing and ampacity, over current protection device sizing, transformer sizing
- Test electrical/electronic components and finished products, using test equipment; analyze and report results.
- Perform and document Root Cause and Closed Loop Corrective Action for Assigned problems.
- Maintain processes in compliance with ISO 9001:2008, UL Standards and National Electric Code

Qualifications
As an Electrical Design Technician you must have the following:
- 5 or more years of experience with electro/mechanical packaging, electrical/electronics, circuits and schematics
- Degree not required only preferred Associates Degree in Electro/Mechanical, Electronics, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic principles and packaging.
