Entry Level Cisco Networking Specialist

Installs, configures, and supports the LAN/WAN. Develops and maintains all systems applications, security, and network configurations. Monitors and troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Monitors and supports all servers and server applications. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Requires hands-on repair of PC’s and peripheral equipment when needed.

Wireless Networking

Routing protocols

VoIP

QoS

Provide training and technical support for users with varying skill levels.

Thorough knowledge and experience with software and network security.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Strong planning and implementation skills.

Monitor network usage and provide recommendations.

Monitor server performance and provide recommendations.

Other qualifications:

Must have a minimum of one to five years’ experience in a network environment.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be a strong team player.

Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

Must be able to pass background checks.
