Field Development Engineer I

The tasks of a field development engineer include but are not limited to:

Support and/or organize and lead FEED studies.

Support and/or manage technical tenders and clarifications.

Evaluate system options and concepts.

Support and/or perform commercial evaluations.

Support and/or lead technology evaluation s and studies.

Evaluate and explain flow management studies and analyses (After applicable training).

Support and/or facilitate reliability, availability, environmental and safety studies.

Support and/or lead field extension and life of field studies.

Provide technical sales support.

Support and/or facilitate production optimization studies Requirements

Must have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant subsea experience, preferably in a Field Development or subsea systems related role.

MS in engineering preferred.-Demonstrated technical knowledge of subsea Production Systems with working experience from at least one and general understanding of two additional of the following: trees, manifolds, pipelines, subsea controls, connection systems, subsea processing systems, installation, reservoir, wellheads, subsea production systems.

Experience in design of subsystems and understands the concept of integrating multiple product lines to one system.

Understanding of interface engineering and can identify how a change in interface will affect the subsea production system requirements.

Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to modify communication and presentation style to accommodate different personalities.

Strong communication in English, oral and written.

Additional languages a plus.

PC skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and project.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Spends most of time in an office environment. Spends some time in customer office locations. Limited travel required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequent sitting and operating a computer or participating in meetings. Fast paced atmosphere with many multiple priorities and always constant changing environment.
