HR Business Partner Job

Nalco Champion, an Ecolab Company, currently has an opening for an HR Business Partner to support our Fresno/Pearland/South Houston, TX and Freeport, TX Plant locations within our US Supply Chain Manufacturing organization. The Human Resources Business Partner role will be tasked with the delivery of all HR services for these two locations. The HRBP is expected to be a trusted, valued and influential member of the Supply Chain Human Resources team and Plant Leadership Teams in the development, implementation of their respective strategies. The role will partner with management to understand business goals and devise strategies to help support and achieve business objectives. Communicates and consults on all areas of HR and functions as a Subject Matter Expert for both facilities with a combined population of over 160 employees.


Thriving on employee interaction, the successful HRBP will maintain visibility in the plant and establish strong employee relations as well as drive consistent policy administration and recognition & retention strategies for the facilities. The HRBP will also partner with HR team members across the North American Supply Chain as well as with the Corporate HR team to share best practices and implement and upgrade HR policies and practices.


Main Responsibilities:


Drives key Human Resources initiatives & strategic processes


Fosters employee engagement through proactive employee relations & performance management


Partners with leadership to set the strategy to acquire, develop & retain talent


Leads talent development initiatives for Managers and first level supervisors to include facilitation of training


Coaches supervisors to enhance leadership capability and drive change management efforts.


Partners with members of the Plant Leadership Team to support training and development for hourly associates


Oversees the management of the hourly selection process and develops process improvements. Manages temp agency relationships to ensure high quality applicants


Ensures consistent, fair and legally compliant employment practices.


Partners with Safety Leaders to manage workers compensation cases.


Manages the Short term disability and FMLA program partnering with the Corporate Disability Manager.


Basic Qualifications:


BS degree in HR management, business administration, or a related discipline.


5+ years of HR Generalist experience, with heavy employee relations responsibilities.


Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position


Desired Qualifications:


MS degree in HR management, MBA, or a related discipline.


PHR/SPHR certification preferred.


Experience working in a lean manufacturing organization


Understanding of strategic issues impacting the business Strong talent development & team building skills


2+ years of experience in manufacturing


Able to demonstrate strong initiative and operate with limited direction.


Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects


Expert knowledge of human resource practices, including compensation, benefits, organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations.


Strong Project Management Skills


Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization in complex situations.


Excellent written and oral communication skills, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills, and presentation skills.


Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
