IM Accelerated Value Specialist

The Accelerated Value Specialist (AVS) works with their customers on a daily basis ensuring resolution to all issues for products supported under the program. Products required to be supported for this position include DB2 with Pure Data System for Transactions (PDTX) on Linux. Position requires in-depth technical knowledge of DB2 Enterprise Server Edition, PDTX platform, Linux operating system and preference of knowledge of Safenet technology. Position requires hands on technical work including monitoring the database for throughput/performance issues, performance tuning, maintenance and configuration etc., Job requires the candidate to be able to work full time from the customer location based in Atlanta area.

Role requires building relationship with the customer and understanding their business operations. Position requires focus on enablement of the customer by providing training and mentoring to the customer. In addition, you will be working with the customer to provide assistance for migration, problem avoidance, upgrade planning and similar activities associated with supported systems. Any candidate must be able to work with and understand the technical operations of the customers business and be able to assist the customer in resolving critical technical issues.


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 5 years experience in IBM Database products

  • Readiness to travel 10% travel annually

  • English: Fluent


  • At least 6 months experience in Pure Data for Transactions

  • At least 2 years experience in Customer Management
