Our Plano client is ready to hire a Software developer with Packaging experience.
The Stores application development team is looking for a dynamic software engineer who can help transition the existing install packaging to the InstallShield/MSI platform, create and maintain an automated build infrastructure, and aid in the development of .NET applications.
Experience
• 3+ years of packaging builds experience using standard packaging software such as InstallShield
• 2+ years in an automated build or continuous integration environment working with standard tools such as MSBuild, Powershell, Hudson, nUnit, TFS, Subversion, GIT, etc.
• 2+ years of .NET development experience (C#, Web Services, ASP.NET MVC; Object Oriented Development, SQL)
• Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
Expectations
• Developing and maintaining InstallShield/MSI based product installation packages
• Developing and maintaining automation of software builds and deployments.
• Aid in the development of applications using Microsoft technologies
• Research and provide input on development standards, tools, and best practices and help drive adoption and implementation of those.
• Own and drive multiple initiatives with high quality and on time delivery.
• Preparing appropriate documentation for each new build or release.
• Application Support on an as needed basis, provide user support for business applications. Effectively communicate with business partners to answer questions and resolve urgent requests.
The duration of this assignment may change based on project progress, needs and other staffing initiatives. This role will work within a great team of 12 software/quality engineers that operate at a very fast pace. Travel is not required.
