TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a Jr. Process Engineer for one of our clients in Ontario, CA.




Job Description:




  • Develop new production processes and refine existing processes to improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers; gauge the adequacy of engineering equipment and tooling to support processes.

  • Develop work instructions; assess work instruction effectiveness by soliciting observations from leads and operators; work with Quality to audit adherence to work instructions and training comprehensiveness.

  • Design or specify tooling/equipment to meet customer requirements. Develop associated processes. Ensure solutions meet project cost and timing targets.

  • Perform Gauge R&R, Design of Experiment.

  • Provide technical inputs for incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.

  • Constant communication with customer, management and team.

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.

  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with corporate, government and environmental regulations.

  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:




  • Talent for prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical presentation

  • High level of organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Must possess strong computer skills (MS Office) with an ability to learn new systems and tools quickly

  • Proven track record of ability to follow up and follow through

  • Quality focus including SPC; Lean/5S; Six Sigma Green Belt training

  • Mechanical Design Skills and CAD knowledge a plus

  • Experience with FPD (Flat Panel Display) manufacturing or repair a plus.



Physical Demands:




  • Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, hazardous substances, etc.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.



Typical Experience and Education:




  • Two plus years’ relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field or an AS degree with additional experience.
