Lead Application Engineer

Responsibilities

Networkfleet is currently seeking a Lead Application Engineer to support large customer accounts of its flagship telematics application. The person in this position will triage issues reported by large customers, interface with them to analyze their needs, and lead development of customized solutions that integrate into the existing product set. Experience supporting a production environment and understanding of all components of a web application is essential to diagnose reported issues.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Be an effective team lead in developing solutions that are unique to the needs of key customer accounts.


• Lead the design and development of object-oriented software for deployment in an enterprise system


• Triage issues reported by key customer accounts and maintain customer satisfaction.


• Interface with customer to understand their business needs, and integrate customized solutions into our product set.


• Promote code quality through ongoing refactoring


• Provides technical support to Customer Care personnel.


• Mentor junior team members and provide technical direction.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills are needed, as well as an ability to multitask, collaborate, and work well within a team environment.


• Skilled in Agile software development methodologies, preferably Scrum


• Ability to design and develop object-oriented solutions.


• Experience with the Java programming language.


• Experience using a JSF-based framework.


• Experience with Javascript, to support a rich web client.


• Competency with IceFaces and/or Seam preferred


• Competency with Ajax


• Competency using and managing Spring Framework for DB integration


• Detail-oriented, creative, dependable and trustworthy, with positive attitude.

Education:

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.
