Lead Architect - Benton Harbor, MI

The lead engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining knowledge of customer's network environment, and the unique aspects of this environment that vary from site to site. The objective is to develop a holistic view of the network's architecture and design, and the interactions and dependencies that exist between customer's business applications and support the following:

-Expedited problem resolution

-Data analysis that supports problem avoidance

-Provide a single point of contact for customer for problem management and operations on a regional basis

-Leverage customer's existing network tooling to facilitate problem resolution, problem avoidance, capacity management, and strategic planning

-Manage issues involving proper device configuration, process modifications involving support of new, or newly in-scope devices

-Manage the development and maintenance of network documentation, including managing a program to update documentation of existing configurations and managing the documentation of new installations

Key requirements:

-Provide support during prime shift for regions

-Provide the operational interface between Customer Network leads and IBM/AT&T

-Leverage customer tools for trend analysis, problem avoidance, performance management

-Have intimate knowledge of customer's environment, able to “connect the dots”


Required



  • At least 3 years experience in Cisco (Network gear), Diamond IP (DNS/DHCP/IP Administration), UNIX and Windows and IBM Mainframe

  • At least 3 years experience in Network Transport - Ethernet LAN; MPLS WAN; Private Line WAN; VPN; Internet

  • At least 2 years experience in Application environment running over Cisco network - SAP (CRM); Lotus Notes; Wind Chill

  • At least 2 years experience in Network troubleshooting tools - Netscount sniffers; Cisco works; Solarwinds; AT&T

  • Certified in one or more of the following: CCNP and/or CCIE

  • Readiness to travel 75% travel annually

  • English: Fluent


Preferred



  • Bachelor's Degree
