We are a quickly growing computer services and network integration firm looking for an experienced Network Engineer Consultant to join our team. The Network Engineer Consultant is responsible for the installation and maintenance of small to large projects for client IT networks. Client satisfaction throughout all interaction with the client and their systems is essential.
Position requires a candidate who has:
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
- Excellent listening, team building and communications skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each job
- Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through e-mail
- Knowledge in advanced networking configurations
- Experience in Windows Server Operating Systems and related switching
- Ability to successfully train the client on the new solution(s) implemented
- Problem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
- Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships
- Willingness to develop professionally
- High emphasis on customer service and professional image
- Excellent organization skills to be able to carry out assignments with little supervision; Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Can work proactively and collaboratively with entire staff
- Strong conflict resolution skills and negotiation skills are essential
- The ability to work on multiple, concurrent tasks and adapt to project shifting priorities, demands and problem-solving capabilities is essential
- Maintain appropriate vendor certifications as required and outlined by the team leadership
What you need:
- Consulting background preferred
- Truly enjoy being out on the road (locally) going from client to client
- 4 year college degree in Information Systems or Engineering is preferred
- Latest Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or MCITP is required
- Desire CCNA or CCNP BUT NOT REQUIRED
- 4+ years’ experience in computer network management is preferred
- Business related experience in the IT field is preferred
- Professional office attire- (including ties for men and professional dress for ladies)
