Job Details


We are an expanding river cruise line searching for a dynamic individual to further the development of business with company’s national accounts. The Director of National Accounts leads the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with its national accounts through driving and maximizing revenue potential, managing the business strategy and relationship with these accounts


If you are a Director of National Accounts with 5+ years of experience, please read on!


What you need for this position:


- Must have travel experience preferable with a cruise line

- Strong selling and negotiations skills.

- Strong presentation and training skills, both in person and via webinars.

- Ability to travel a significant portion of the time.

- Strong understanding of the retail distribution system.

- Ability to work effectively with a remote team both in sales and in marketing.


What you'll be doing:


- Develop and continually enhance relationship with key corporate, business and travel industry accounts and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase our market share.

- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.

- Proactively leads a joint company-account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives and financial targets.

- Provide strategic account development and management to all nationally designated agencies/accounts.

- Deliver revenue targets for the assigned portfolio of accounts through strategic and tactical efforts including but not limited to, contract negotiation and implementation, account support and service.

- Serves as the primary liaison between Field Sales/Business Development, Corporate Office and other departments as necessary to ensure the top revenue opportunities are appropriately prioritized.

- Responsible for continuously improving the quality and timeliness of account performance.

- Contributing analytical expertise, business knowledge and ideas to various ad hoc projects including the development of internal and external presentations.

- Create dynamic, performance driven agency programs through strong negotiations.

- Individual or joint participation in trade shows as business needs require.
