BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT


The fundamental role of the PC Maintenance Specialist is to ensure that all computer needs are met for local and remote employees, enabling them to be as productive as possible. Uphold professional attitude and ethics in line with Brunswick Corporate IT Department standards. Maintain the highest possible level of security, customer service and cooperation with all users. Strive to identify changes that would result in improvement of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Primary responsibility is the support of the Brunswick desktop environment which includes setup and delivery of all desktops, laptops, and handheld computers.

  • Provide 1st level help desk support for local and remote users. Participate in an after hour IT support rotation for bowling centers.

  • Work with Senior Technical Analyst to resolve 2nd level support tickets.

  • Responsible for initiating Purchase Order process for computers and IT related equipment.

  • Add, replace, repair, configure, and troubleshoot user’s hardware.

  • Configure and test software including Windows Operating Systems.

  • Help troubleshoot connectivity issues between remote users, clients and servers.

  • Assist the Divisional Technical Support Coordinator in tracking and maintaining current inventory of software licenses and other IT physical assets.

  • Routine handling of backups in accordance with Brunswick's Backup policy.

  • Additional responsibilities include administrative tasks within the technical support team. This may include licensing. administration, asset administration, helpdesk administration and other duties supporting the technical and operations teams

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Act in accordance with Brunswick and Department policies.


Qualifications:


What you need to bring to our winning team:



  • Bachelors degree. Computer Science preferred. Business or Engineering degree also qualifies.

  • 1+ Year experience required providing technical support in a PC environment (Microsoft Windows OS multiple versions, Office Pro, Visio, & Project etc..).

  • Familiar with technical terms and have ability to clearly communicate technical knowledge associated with areas of responsibility.
