This position is responsible for overseeing operations of a physician office, ensuring point of service collections are maximized, patient insurnace and demographic information is accurate, staffing at appropriate levels, develop and maintain expense budget, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration or related field, Bachelor's preferred, and four years medical office experience, with two in a Supervisory/Management role for Front/Back Office, Billing and/or Coding. Must have practical knowledge of physician office billing/insurance and patient registration/front office duties; knowledge of clinic operations a plus. Must have strong physician and staff relations skills and ability to communication effectively both orally and in writing.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems
General knowledge of OSHA, quality assurance, accreditation standards, and other regulatory requirements
Knowledge of clinic office procedures
Knowledge of medical practices and terminology
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure to answer correspondence and prepare reports
Knowledge of personal computers and other office equipment
General knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and supervise non-clinical staff
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, patients, families, and physicians
