Role Profile:

Through Our Client’s standard tools, templates, and implementation methodology, the Implementation Project Manager (IPM) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities associated with the full implementation cycle of any of the Our Client’s hosted business solutions to new and existing clients. This position will report to the Senior Director, Health Plan Solutions in Emeryville, CA, and will be a key role in a rapidly evolving customer based services organization. The candidate must be a highly organized, energetic person who can think strategically, translate business objectives into project plans, and execute with precision.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, drive, and project manage all defined processes & steps of client implementations

• Develop & define detailed scope documentation & project plan

• Coordinate required resources to support implementation

• Coordinate & facilitate project coordination, discussion, and status meetings

• Manage external/internal project expectations; escalate and mitigate project issues

• Manage project resources, scope, timeline, & budget per plan

• Coordinate solution testing, deployment, training, and post-implementation support transition plan to account management team

• Lead software implementation projects including data analytics, configuration, installation, and validation

• May be required to manage multiple implementations in parallel


Essential Skills, Experience and Education:

• A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in business MIS, data analysis, or software project management and/or software development/implementations.

• At least 5 years of experience within a healthcare payer environment and/or healthcare consulting firm.

• Healthcare industry knowledge to include at least 3 of the following subject areas: Medical Management, Provider Network Management, Pharmacy Analytics, Operations, Employer Analytics, Accountable Care Organizations

• Solid hands-on experience in project and system development lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of project management methods, processes, standards, and tools; PMP certification a plus.

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the development of customer reports, proposals, presentations and training/communications materials.

• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Functional design and data analysis skills.

• Outstanding problem solving and organizational skills to research and trouble shoot client requests.

• Previous experience with a hosted software solution or ASP based model a plus.


Special Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Travel required
