This is a field based role, located in Southern CA. The nature of this position is to achieve assigned goals, working through a broker network. This position will identify and analyze market opportunities, build profitable volume/mix with both existing and new regional accounts.
• Day-to-day management of region for all assigned distributor and operator accounts and broker organizations to execute product, channel, and account strategies.
• Consistent time investment with Buyer/Merchandiser and Director/VP of Purchasing levels to understand the customer’s objectives and strategies, plan for the execution of RFBP initiatives, and provide feedback to Zone Manager and Business Unit Team.
• Development and execution of Regional Distribution Channel Fiscal Plan.
• Product and data training of broker organizations to ensure they have the resources available to represent RFBP appropriately.
• Ongoing management of broker organizations, to include periodic broker reviews.
• Achievement of assigned case and dollar volume and ability to work with spending levels.
• Develop promotional and merchandising programs (MDF) for all assigned accounts to achieve volume/budgets.
• Identification of new prospects and opportunities on an ongoing basis.
• Successful sell-in of new product offerings.
• Utilization of market research data to help identify market/sales opportunities.
• Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor. • Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of progressive Food Service sales experience.
• At least 3 years managing broker networks in multi-state geography.
• Excellent direct selling skills.
• Strong planning and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills both to customers and internal contacts.
• Excellent ability to keep a large number of projects/tasks going concurrently.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Seasoned experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
