^The Senior Project Designer is the individual responsible for developing, managing, and recording the technical aspects of the project. He/she works closely with the Project Manager.
In addition to the general work responsibilities regarding 1) Job knowledge, 2)Teamwork and Communications, 3) Individual productivity and quality of work 4) Reliability and commitment and 5) Judgement and decision making. Senior Project Designers responsibilities include the following:
Verifies scope of work with Project Manager.
Responsible for project deliverables and meeting overall project design schedule.
Prepares and presents design presentations.
Coordinates all disciplines (including consultants) during design phase.
Monitors hours/inform Project Manager of problems.
Attends meeting with owner as required by Project Manager.
Oversees development and coordinates FF&E specifications.
Understands the project(s) scope, and plans and develops concepts and approaches appropriate to the construction budget.
Develops the project design appropriate to the project scope and budget.
Continuously improves the overall standards of design quality.
Takes responsibility for and checks their own work, as well as the work of others.
Supervises the work of project team to meet project man-hour goals.
Supports the office and co-workers through active mentoring, continuing education and training of team members within the discipline.
Field verifications, coordinate assembly of project books.
Qualifications
15-25 years experience (10 years Hospitality experience required)
Technical requirements include high level competency in use of design and production software (i.e., AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and knowledge of MS Office (i.e, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is also required.
Revit experience is a plus.
Must have the ability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization and requires a strong team-oriented approach, as well as excellent organization and time management skills.
The position requires a degree in Interior Design or Architecture. International experience a plus.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Must be able to travel.
