What you need:
- BSCS (MS preferred) or related and and 7- 15 years of relevant industry Platform Architecture solution experience for top companies
- Expertise in Java/J2EE development (5+ years Java dedicated experience)
- Agile environment experience
- Previous experience collaborating with implementation team(s)
- Metrics / Monitoring, providing real time feedback to the biz and validation of architectural decisionsMonitoring, Auditing, SLA's, security components experience - i.e. monitoring, defining service SLA's
- Knowledge of core HATEOS guidelines, most importantly URL's as the major form of object identity & decentralization of orchestration
- Strong background with plus/minuses of alternate integration patterns: i.e. RPC, point-to-point, event driven, push vs. pull, asynchronous vs. synchronous, message passing, SOAP vs. REST, orchestration vs. service choreographies
- OOD / Domain-driven design format & principles
- eCommerce is a big plus
What you will be doing:
- Collaborating with multi-functional team, determining appropriate & sustainable technology architecture - ensuring the Service Platform is implemented following fundamental principles like incremental architecture & incremental delivery
- Creatively solving problems to influence biz process change where complicated / fuzzy business process makes the tech implementation more expensive / difficult
- Collaborate with project teams to drive design focus towards total cost of solutions, e.g. production support, maintenance & technical debt impacts, helping to prepare multiple options for choices which highlight the cost/benefit tradeoff
- Spearhead lightweight architectural patterns & technology like JSON & Rest, HATEOS, etc. Focus on quality through implementation of a high value test automation strategy & using continuous delivery, optimizing the flow of software delivery and enabling fast & reliable deployment
- Coaching, Mentoring, guiding the Solution Architects in our principles objectives & frameworks of our Service Platform
