Software Architect

Purpose:

You are responsible for the formal Software Architecture of radar and video based Driver Assistance systems, and its associated processes. A close working relationship with all parties (developers, testers, project managers, configuration managers and quality) is a particular feature of this position.

Tasks:

• Definition of development and test processes for the software architecture

• Formalisation of the software architecture using model based methods e.g. Rhapsody, and its continued development

• Integration of legacy software components into the software architecture and, where necessary, improvement of the interfaces through close cooperation with the software developers

• Integration of customer-specific architectures e.g. AUTOSAR and customer-specific components

• Leading the discussion about architecturally relevant requirements and topics with the customer

• Definition of safety relevant components, coordinating with the safety team

Required skills:

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or comparable qualification)

• Software architecture fundamentals

• ‘C’ programming skills

• Driving licence

• Standard PC knowledge

• Good command of English, written and spoken

• Knowledge or experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

• Model based development, in particular using Rhapsody and Matlab/Simulink

• Algorithm and software development

• Driver assistance systems such as ACC

• Tools and methods for software quality assurance

• Development of safety critical systems

• Customer relations

BSEE/CE

Experience: 7+ years of dedicated experience

Location: Farmington Hills, MI site
