In this role

  • You will design and implement language support on the Elastic Beanstalk platform so developers can harness the power of AWS.

  • You will design and implement services to make it easier to configure, deploy, test, and manage running applications in AWS.

  • You will participate in community efforts to showcase AWS as the platform of choice for building reliable, scalable and manageable applications in the cloud.

  • You will build sample applications that demonstrate best practices for using Amazon Web Services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education

  • 1+ years professional experience in software development

  • Experience developing and deploying applications using PHP.

  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building highly available, large scale applications or web sites is a plus.

  • Understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP, WSDL, XSD, JSON, YAML, and REST

  • A self-starter who is motivated to take ownership of projects and drive tasks to completion

  • Experience with other languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Ruby.

  • Strong passion for developing applications and services that provide a great customer experience

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
