About the Opportunity

Epsilon’s Online Solutions team helps marketers enhance the effectiveness of their online marketing programs by more effectively leveraging audience data in online channels. The Director of Product Management, Online Solutions will be responsible for ensuring our product lines are competitive, and our sales channels are empowered to sell them effectively. The Director of Product Management must possess a unique blend of leadership, business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to build and manage cutting edge online marketing products for one of the industry’s largest and most respected marketing services providers.


1. Monitor industry environment, identify product gaps and opportunities – Online advertising is a rapidly changing space, with new technologies and new providers emerging continuously. Our commitment to our clients is that we will help them understand this space, and proactively enhance our products to incorporate the best feature set in the industry. The person in this role should be continually listening to feedback from sales, soliciting input from partners, and staying abreast of industry developments to identify both gaps and opportunities within the Online Solutions product line.

2. Define product roadmap, set priorities, manage timeline – There will be many great opportunities to enhance our product line, and this role must work with senior leadership and key stakeholders to assess and prioritize initiatives. This prioritization will be reflected in the product roadmap, which will be managed by the Director of Product Management. The Director of Product Management will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.

3. Work with cross functional teams and partners to execute new product initiatives – This role will work with key stakeholders, including: technical development, marketing communications, billing, legal, sales, and external partners to define, refine, develop, and launch new capabilities.

4. Help shape marketing communications - The marketing communications team manages the planning and execution of external communications, collateral, and events. The Director of Product Management will provide critical input into content, including helping adapt the product story for specific vertical audiences. In addition, this role will work with marketing communications to align the timing of marketing communications and product initiatives.

5. Enable sales teams to effectively represent online products – Epsilon has sales teams representing a variety of products, including: marketing technology, data, and agency services. Each of these sales teams are empowered to sell online solutions, but each team has unique needs and a unique relationship with the client. The Director of Product Management will work with sales teams to help ensure they have the expertise needed to identify, quality, and propose online solutions that meet the needs of their clients. Specific tactics would include: training, webinars, compiling sales support materials, and answering questions from sales teams.


* 4 year college degree required, MBA preferred

* Minimum 6 years of work experience required

* Minimum 4 years of related experience in interactive marketing, email marketing, agency service delivery or account management, product management

* Demonstrated success autonomously managing projects that involve multiple workstreams, and require input from multiple people

* Familiar with the online advertising ecosystem and high level understanding of the technologies that enable online advertising

* Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with people from different functional areas and different levels of responsibility

* Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, ‘startup’ environment.

* Able to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously, while maintaining flexibility to adapt as new opportunities arise
